The Homeroom Guidance program (HGP) seeks to develop personality of learners through an understanding of the self and the environment, and prepare them for their roles in the family, work, higher, education, and the community.

The HGP was designed as a way to strengthen the functions of school guidance.  As such, HGP gives importance to individual learners.  The HGP activities aim to develop each learner's personality and enhance the students' social relationships with teachers and other classmates.

The learner listens critically to different text types; expresses ideas logically in oral  and written forms; and demonstrates interest in reading to meet various needs. 


The learner demonstrates increased knowledge, skills, and values in entrepreneurship and ICT, agriculture, home economics, and industrial arts toward improving family life and the community.

Pagkatapos ng Ikalimang Baitang, naipamamalas ng mag-aaral ang pag-unawa sa masusing pagsusuri sa pagpapahayag, pagganap ng tungkulin na may pananagutan at pagsasabuhay ng mga ito tungo sa masaya, mapayapa at maunlad na pamumuhay para sa sarili/mag-anak, kapwa/pamayanan, bansa/daigdig at Diyos.

Pagkatapos ng Ikalimang Baitang, inaasahang naipamamalas ng mag-aaral ang paglalapat ng mga kasanayang panliterasi, pagpapalawak ng bokabolaryo na magagamit sa kritikal na pag-unawa at pagbuo ng mga tekstong naratibo at impormatibo na may paksa patungkol sa komunidad at bansa.

MUSIC AND ARTS

We will be focusing on the creative works using conventional and contemporary processes and practices in Music and Arts, in relation to historical and cultural influences (Pre-Colonial to Spanish Colonial Period).

PE AND HEALTH

We will be focusing on varied health practices, movements, and fitness skills in promoting personal, family, community, and societal wellness for active and healthy living.

At the end of the quarter,, students must be able to demonstrate understanding and appreciation of key concepts and skills involving numbers and number sense (whole numbers up to 10 000 000, order of operations, factors and multiples, fractions and decimals including money, ratio and proportion, percent).

After learning how to read and interpret product labels, learners can critically decide whether these materials are harmful or not. They can also describe ways in which they can use their knowledge of solids and liquids in making useful materials and products.

In Grade 4, learners investigated changes in materials that take place at certain conditions, such as applying force, mixing materials, and changing the temperature. In Grade 5, they investigate changes that take place under the following conditions: presence or lack of oxygen (in air), and applying heat. They learn that some of these conditions can result in a new product. Knowing these conditions enable them to apply the โ€œ5R methodโ€ (recycling, reducing, reusing, recovering and repairing) at home and in school.
