Ang kursong ito ay nakatuon sa pagpapahalaga sa pambansang pagkakakilanlan at ang mga kontribusyon ng bawat rehiyon sa paghubog ng kulturang Pilipino at pambansang pag-unlad gamit ng mga kasanayan sa heograpiya, pag-unawa sa kultura at kabuhayan, pakikilahok sa pamamahala at pagpapahalaga sa mga mithiin ng bansang Pilipinas. 

The Homeroom Guidance program (HGP) seeks to develop personality of learners through an understanding of the self and the environment, and prepare them for their roles in the family, work, higher, education, and the community.

The HGP was designed as a way to strengthen the functions of school guidance.  As such, HGP gives importance to individual learners.  The HGP activities aim to develop each learner's personality and enhance the students' social relationships with teachers and other classmates.


The learner listens critically to various text types and expresses ideas accurately in both oral and written forms; demonstrates confidence in the use of the language to meet everyday needs; and reads independently and gets relevant information from various text types. 

The learner demonstrates basic knowledge, skills, and values in agriculture, entrepreneurship and ICT, home economics, and industrial arts that can help improve self and family life.

Pagkatapos ng Ikaapat na Baitang, naipamamalas ng mag-aaral ang pag-unawa sa mga konsepto at kilos sa kabutihang-asal at wastong pag-uugali para sa sarili, pamilya, kapuwa, bansa, kalikasan, at Diyos tungo sa paghubog ng mga virtue at pagpapahalaga.

Pagkatapos ng Ikaapat na Baitang, inaasahang naipamamalas ng mga mag-aaral ang pangunahin at kritikal na kasanayang panliterasi, pakikipagtalastasan nang wastong gamit ng wika (balarila) sa diskurso na binibigyang pansin ang kaangkupan ng kaalaman, ideya at damdamin na ayon sa edad, kasarian, kultura at layunin, kaalinsabay nito na nagagamit ang kaalamang natamo hinggil sa mga elementong biswal sa pagpapakahulugan at pagsusuri patungkol sa komunidad at bansa.

PE

The learner demonstrates understanding of the importance of physical activity and physical fitness through participation in and assessment of physical activities.


Health

The learner demonstrates understanding of nutrition; injury prevention, safety and first aid; and substance use and abuse to achieve optimum health.


At the end of the quarter, students must be able to demonstrate understanding of number notation and place value of numbers up to 100,000, multiplication and division and MDAS of whole numbers, and operations on fractions.

Aside from being grouped into solids, liquids, or gases, materials may also be grouped according to their ability to absorb water, ability to float or sink, and whether they decay or not.

Changes in some characteristics of solid materials can be observed when these are bent, hammered, pressed, and cut. After investigating the changes in some observable characteristics of materials due to temperature in Grade 3, learners can now inquire about changes observed when a solid is mixed with a liquid or when a liquid is mixed with another liquid. Learners learn that some changes in the characteristics of a product such as food or medicine may affect its quality. One way of finding out is by reading and interpreting product labels. This information helps them decide when these products become harmful.
